Welcome! I’m Janelle. Sew God is a faith-filled place dedicated to encouraging people to live creative lives in relationship with one another and our Maker.
A recovering hoarder, I’m obsessed with fabric and piecing. I love vintage and modern, sock monkeys, high school musicals, morning work-outs, kitchen table conversations, sewing, gluten-free healthful (mostly) cooking, small group gatherings and hiking in our Rocky Mountains. Random: Salt & Straw has the most wonderful ice cream in the world.
Cherished time in creative mode makes me a better person.
This year I discovered the joy of piecing quilts.
Are you wondering, “What is Sew God?”
Sew God is a mindset … a lifestyle dedicated to living, loving, creating and sharing.
Sew God is a place for fellowship … where the stories of creative newbies, wannabes and experts will be told in an effort to lift up, humor, encourage, educate and comfort.
Sew God is an invitation to be inspired based on these truths:
- God created — sew should we.
- The joy of creating is therapeutic and yields undeniable rippling effects.
- The stories of our journeys as makers are valuable.
- Life in all its glory has a way of humbling us.
Sharing helpful info and challenges as well as the good stuff keeps things real, builds our souls and is life-giving. Let’s join together, new makers and veterans in our journeys to create and learn from one another along the way.
Personal: My husband Dale and I have 3greatkids and are blessed with fantastic family and friends. We are natives of and reside in beautiful, sunny Colorado.
“In the beginning God created …” Gen 1:1
